Allahshukur Pashazadeh: â€œConstruction of the new mosque reflecting Azerbaijan-Turkey brotherhood must not be considered as closing of the mosque in the area of the Alley of Martyrsâ€

Rumors about the removal of the mosque in the area of the Alley of Martyrs are not true. This mosque will continue working in the future,â€ said Chairman of the Caucasian Muslim Board (CMB) Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh, APA reports.

Sheikh-ul-Islam said that the government of Azerbaijan attentively cares about the construction, reconstruction and protection of the mosques and other religious monuments: â€œOnce there are only 18 mosques in Azerbaijan but after reaching the independence more than 2 thousands mosques have been constructed in the country.â€

Head of the Turkeyâ€™s Directorate of Religious Affairs Mehmet Gormez and Chairman of the Caucasian Muslim Board (CMB) Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh addressed the Baku City Mayor Hajibala Abutalibov to allocate place for the construction of Jumah Mosque in Baku and the Mayor signed relevant order on this issue.
