Azerbaijani President participates in opening of Ajdarbey mosque in Baku after its overhaul and reconstruction
It was said that in 2010, the Head of State issued a decree on restoration of the temple which was previously known ad “Ittifag†mosque.
After becoming familiar with the conditions established in the mosque, the Head of State met with the muftis of the North Caucasus who are on a visit to Azerbaijan.
The Head of State made a speech at the meeting.
Allahshukur Pashazadeh, mufti of Adygei Republic and Krasnodar oblast of Russia Yemij Nurbiy, mufti of the North Ossetia-Alania republic Hajimurad Gatsalov, CMB’s authorized representative in Moscow Shafig Psikhachev, chief of the Tatarstan presidential administration’s office for cooperation with religious organizations Marat Gatin delivered a speech at the meeting.
The letter of congratulation on behalf of chairman and members of Supreme Religious Council of Peoples of the Caucasus on President Ilham Aliyev’s birthday was read at the meeting.
Then President Aliyev met with the religious figures and society representatives.
The Head of State delivered a speech after reading ayats from the Holy Quran.
Then mufti of Chechnya, First Deputy Chairman of Supreme Religious Council of Peoples of the Caucasus Soltan Mirzayev, chief of the Tatarstan presidential administration’s office for cooperation with religious organizations Marat Gatin and CMB Chairman Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh delivered speeches.
Pashazadeh presented a copy of Holy Quran to Ilham Aliyev.
Azerbaijani President met with the muftis and wished them successes.
