Chairman of the CMO Sheik-ul-Islam Haji Allahshukur Pashazade awards Russian Patriarch Kirill with "Order of Sheikhulislam"

According to APA’s correspondent in Moscow, in the framework of the ceremony held biliterial and extended meetings between deligation headed by the Sheyk of the all Caucaus Sheik-ul-Islam Haji Allahshukur Pashazade and Patriarch Kirill.

Azerbaijani ambassador to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu read a congratulatory letter of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to the Patriarch of All Russia.

Speaking at the event, Patriarch Kirill thanked Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for the congratulations.

The Patriarch noted that Ilham Aliyev always gives priority to religious issues: "This development of the existing fraternal relations between the two countries makes me happy", - he said.

Sheikhulislam Pashazade on behalf of the Muslims of Azerbaijan and the Caucasus awarded Patriarch Kirill with "Order of Sheikhulislam" for his personal contribution to the development of interreligious and interethnic dialogue, strengthening of cultural ties in the CIS and worldwide, in co-operation between the Russian Orthodox Church and the Caucasus Muslims Office and the deepening of friendly relations among nations Russia and Azerbaijan.
