Azerbaijani State Committeeâ€™s deputy chairman: â€œPersons getting religious education abroad have no statehood and nationalist feelingsâ€

I looked at this school not only as the scientific, but also as the ethic institutionâ€, deputy chairman of the Azerbaijanâ€™s State Committee for Work with Religious Associations Gunduz Ismayilov said in the meetings with the students of theology faculty. Ismayilov said the theology faculty of the Baku State University prepares national human resources and added that everyone, who knows the religion, can not be called the national resource. â€œThe national human resources should have statehood and nationalists feelingsâ€.

Ismayilov said the persons getting religious education abroad have no statehood and nationalist feelings and therefore they couldnâ€™t be the national human resources. He also spoke about the purposeful Sunni-Shia division in the country.

â€œThe mosque of the BSUâ€™s theology faculty is the only mosque in the country where the Sunni and Shia pray togetherâ€.
