Declaration signed on outcomes of meeting of Allahshukur Pashazadeh, Kirill and Karekin II â€“ <font color=red>UPDATED </font>

APA reports that a briefing was held after the trilateral meeting.

Patriarch Kirill said the meeting was very successful, they discussed various issues, mainly ways of solution to Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
â€œTodayâ€™s summit is a very right and opportune initiative. The trilateral meeting held within the framework of the summit was successful. The Joint Declaration proves it. Religious leaders have no political power, they can not move the army in any direction, nor use the power of the state. But they have other special opportunities â€“ to appeal too the values, ideals that are very close to the believers. If the representatives of three religions meet and agree on a number of issues, this is an important signal for all believers. We hope these signals will contribute to reconciliation, reduction of tension and create pleasant atmosphere for the political leaders to reach an agreement taking the responsibility for the solution to the conflict,â€ he said.

Kirill said the provisions of the Declaration were very important.
â€œWe hope the spirit of this document will also influence the atmosphere of the political negotiations,â€ he said.
