Karekin II: The main task of the religious leaders is to support the presidents in the resolution of Nagorno Karabakh conflict, achieve continuation of the negotiations and solution to the conflict

Karekin II said the summit was of great importance.
â€œInterreligious dialogue is very important. There are regional, national and ethnic conflicts in the world. Interreligious dialogue may help solve these conflicts,â€ he said.

Noting the importance of persuading the nations of peace, Karekin II said negotiations on the resolution of Nagorno Karabakh conflict were going on within the framework OSCE Minsk Group.
â€œThe problem should be solved peacefully. The main task of the religious leaders is to support the presidents, achieve continuation of the negotiations and solution to the conflict,â€ he said.

Appreciating the support of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia for the peace talks, Karekin II offered to hold the next event on the issue in Yerevan and invited Sheikh-ul-islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh.

Karekin II said the day is not far when all the closed borders in the region will be opened.
â€œAs we were offered opportunities to come to Baku,â€ he said.
