“In 2003, when I was first elected as President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I declared that, no matter the cost, we would restore our territorial integrity, and that the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan would never be up for negotiation. Life has proven this,” said President Ilham Aliyev in his address to the nation on the occasion of Victory Day, APA reports.
“We were preparing, building a strong army, and ensuring economic development,” the head of state emphasized. “Economic growth, our significant political influence, our firm stance on international platforms, the unity of the people and government, the nurturing of the younger generation, and the establishment of a patriotic spirit in society—these factors all contributed to our victory. The combination of these elements made this victory possible,” President Ilham Aliyev added.
