Polish Deputy Defense Minister Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka proposed locating a Patriot anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) production plant in the country, APA reports citing radio station RMF FM.
"We have put forward a proposal: if such a plant is planned for construction in Ukraine, it should instead be located in Poland – in the so-called safe territory," the radio station quotes the deputy minister as saying.
Sobkowiak-Czarnecka added that the plant's placement in Poland does not depend on the US government's decision regarding Ukraine.
