President Ilham Aliyev has signed a law on the adoption and approval of the "Second Appendix to the Agreement on the Joint Development and Production Sharing of Oil from the Azeri, Chirag Fields, and the Deepwater Part of the Gunashli Field in the Azerbaijani Sector of the Caspian Sea, dated September 14, 2017," and granting permission for its implementation, APA reports.
According to the law, the “Second Appendix to the Agreement dated September 14, 2017, on the joint development of the Azeri, Chirag fields and the deep-water part of the Gunashli field in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea and the distribution of oil production shares” signed on August 1, 2024, in Baku between the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan (ACG) Limited, BP Exploration (Caspian Sea) Limited, Equinor Absheron AS, Exxon Azerbaijan Limited, Inpex Southwest Caspian Sea, Ltd., Itochu Oil Exploration (Azerbaijan) Inc., MOL Azerbaijan, Ltd., ONGC Videsh Limited, Türkiye Petrolleri A.O. was adopted and approved, and its implementation was authorized.
