The State Commission established in relation to the Southern Gas Corridor has been abolished, APA reports.
The State Commission established to ensure the operation of the Southern Gas Corridor, the full-scale development of the Shah Deniz gas-condensate field, the expansion of the South Caucasus Pipeline (SCP), and the implementation of the Trans-Anatolian Pipeline (TANAP) and Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) projects, has been abolished.
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has signed an Order in this regard.
In this regard, relevant amendments have been made to the order "on relevant measures related to the second stage of the operation of Shah Deniz gas-condensate field and establishment of the Southern Gas Corridor with regard to other projects".
In other words, the State Commission will no longer be represented on the Supervisory Board of the Southern Gas Corridor Closed Joint Stock Company, which belongs to SOCAR, through its appointed representatives.
