He made the remarks Dec.25 speaking at a ceremony devoted to awarding of winners of journalistic essays on the occasion of the World Azerbaijanis’ Solidarity Day and the New Year.
Hasanov said the head of state and his team are in his spirits, and the will of the Azerbaijani media will allow us to step successful steps into the future.
The president is due to defend Azerbaijan’s state interests and mutually beneficial cooperation, he said. “The media is a partner of the Azerbaijani government. The head of state has said many times that he follows the media and rules accordingly. It’s important to convey public opinion to the government and we will continue to use it. Some biased campaigns are underway against us. Let it be. Azerbaijan has not fallen behind any country. Freedom of expression and press is fully ensured in the country. We can discuss it with any side,” stressed Hasanov.
