The ambassador met with President of APA Holding Vusala Mahirgizi. The sides discussed Azerbaijani-Palestinian relations, the situation in the Middle East, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and other issues.
The ambassador said Palestine attaches high importance to its relations with Azerbaijan, stressing that he is trying to improve these relations even further. The diplomat said as a civilized, modern, tolerant Muslim country, Azerbaijan is an example to the whole world, adding that a variety of peoples have coexisted in Azerbaijan in peace and tranquility for centuries.
V. Mahirgizi said in her turn that Azerbaijan too puts a high value on its relations with Palestine.
V. Mahirgizi also reminded that both countries have had similar fates, suffering from conflicts. She noted the existence of huge potential for the further strengthening of relations and the role of media in this respect.
The APA Holding president also touched upon the cooperation between Azerbaijani and Palestinian media outlets, emphasizing the significance of this cooperation in terms of informing the world about realities of the two countries.
