NTRC warns some TV channels

NTRC told APA that the meeting considered the case on of violation of Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On television and radio broadcasting" by Lider TV and Radio Azerbaijan LLC and Public Television and Radio Broadcasting Company and regulatory issues in the sphere of cable television broadcasting.

“Lider TV and Radio Azerbaijan” LLC was warned over unfulfilling requirements of item# 6.5.3 of the “State Program on the use of Azerbaijani language in the context of globalization in accordance with the requirements of the time, and the development of linguistics in the country” and not carrying out instructions and recommendations of the NTRC, as well as violation of articles# 35.2, 35.4, 35.7 of the law “On Television and Radio Broadcasting”.

At the same time, Public Television and Radio Broadcasting Company was warned over violation of the articles# 35.2, 35.7, 35.8 of the law “On Television and Radio Broadcasting”.

At the same time, several decisions related to regulatory issues in the sphere of cable television broadcasting have been passed in accordance with the article# 30.2 of the law “On Television and Radio Broadcasting” and item# 9.1 of the "Regulations on National Television and Radio Council".
