He noted that thought the NTRC warns other TV Channels, it mostly punishes ANS: “Azerbaijani President’s steps on freedom of speech and democracy are visible to everyone. The NTRC may be a positive organization, but the officials of this organization don’t allow it”.
Aghayev added that the conflict between ANS and the NTRC has started since ANS’s appeal to the NTRC about funds allocated by the president for shooting national TV series: “ANS did receive its AZN 40,000. The NTRC always said it will be given to us when we hand over the TV series. We appealed, they warned us as a response. What is about the funds allocated by the Azerbaijani President for shooting national TV series? May be everything is transparent. However, we could not find an answer to this question. The NTRC must give information about it”.
