Azerbaijani citizen killed in Russia laid to rest in hometown Lankaran

Maarif was shot to death by 27-year-old Azerbaijani citizen Emil Huseynov in a mass brawl involving 100 to 200 people at a grocery market in Saint Petersburg on June 20. Traders detained the murderer when he attempted to flee the scene. He later admitted to killing Maarif on order andÂ said he had been promised 10 million rubles (238,000 manats).Â

Emil Huseynov received injuries when he was beaten by traders and was taken to hospital.Â

Â

Russian law enforcement agencies are investigating the fact.Â
