Baku.Ramiz Mikailoglu - APA. The 95th jubilee ceremony of Azerbaijan State Information Agency (AZERTAC) was marked on March 2, APA reports.

Speaking at the ceremony General Director of the AZERTAC Aslan Aslanov noted that currently the agency release information on 7 and videos in 5 languages.

"Enjoying a high reputation in the region, the agency is engaged in information exchange with agencies in 130 countries," said Aslanov.

According to him, the agency will expand the activities in the coming years.

Azerbaijani President`s Assistant for Public and Political Affairs and Head of Department on Social Political Issues, Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan RepublicAli Hasanov said that the most courageous journalists of the country work at AZERTAC: "They write the annals of social and political life of Azerbaijan. The Head of State appreciating the activities of AZERTAC, has repeatedly awarded the staff of the agency. "

Mr. Hasanov said that preparing for the first European Olympic Games, Azerbaijan has become a center of political, cultural and sporting events. He also stressed that Baku will host the 5th News Agencies World Congress in 2016, noting that until November 2016 all preparations for the Congress will be completed.

As a part of the ceremony signed a cooperation agreement with the Turkish "Anadolu" and the Slovenian STA agencies, and the Memorandum of Understanding with the Romanian AGERPRESS.
