His son Veliehd Ahmadov told APA that 74-year old announcer was suffering from heart failure. The deceased will be buried in the cemetery in Baku’s Bilajari settlement today at 18:00.
Davud Ahmadov was born in 1941 in Lankaran district. In 1960, he entered department of film and dramatic acting of the Theatre Institute. When he was in the second course, Teymur Elchin, Chairman of the Azerbaijani State TV and Radio Committee liked his voice and he became the announcer of “Ulduz” program. He went to the army in 1965, returned to work on television in 1967. He wrote poems. He was called as “Levitan of Azerbaijan” for his voice. He recited more than 300 works and poems in the fund of the television.
