Cases of administrative offences on a number of protocols sent to the ANS Independent Broadcasting and Media Company over the violation of the Law “On TV and radio broadcasting”, and the Law “On advertisement”, were reviewed at the meeting.
ANS has been fined AZN 161,000 for the violation of the law on TV and radio broadcasting (Article 35.4) and the law on advertisement (Article 20.4) during live broadcasting.
Also during the meeting, two programs aired on Space TV – Sevimli Åžou (Favorite Show) and MÉ™hÉ™bbÉ™t Æhvalatları (Love Stories) – were discussed. It was noted that these programs contradict the national values of the Azerbaijani people and ethics of live broadcasting. The Council thus issued a warning to Space TV.
