Hasanov made the remarks at the seminar titled “Elections to the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan: the roles and duties of media in pre-election process”, co-organized by the Presidential Administration, the Central Elections Commission, and the Press Council in Baku Oct.2.
Hasanov said that each person can share and promote his/her thoughts on social networks.
“Media outlets can also deliver a citizen’s supportive and critical position toward the government. The ideas of free and pluralistic society, which were formed by Heydar Aliyev, continue under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev and his team. We believe that media outlets will fulfill necessary functions in the elections”, Hasanov noted.
