Additional funds to be allocated early April for producing TV series in Azerbaijan

According to him, AZN 3,200,000 of AZN 5,000,000, allocated by the presidential order for producing TV films and series, has not been spent yet. The TV channels did much work on series production over this period: â€œBut the main work is carried out in March. Thatâ€™s why we have a purpose on allocation the additional funds early April. We are working on itâ€. Maharramli said that AZN 5,000,000 allocated for series production is considered for TV channels: â€œWe didnâ€™t work with productions. Now there is such experience. I consider that if the state allocates the additional funds in the future, we will be able to consider the issue on working directly with productionsâ€.

NTRC Chairman said sharing money between the channels would depend on film scenarios and cost sheets given by the channels: â€œEvery serial has its budget. We will act in accordance with it and make the channels to benefit from it and carry out the necessary wok till May 1. The TV channels know that screening of foreign series will stop from May 1â€.

NTRC Chairman said after spending of resources allocated last year TV series funds for 2012 will be allocated in June-July.

NTRC transferred 300 000 AZN to the account of each channel from AZN 5,000,000 allocated last year by the presidential order.
