Azerbaijani journalist arrested in Iran

Baku. Konul Jafarli – APA. Azerbaijani journalist, editor-in-chief of “Tabriznews†website Peyman Pakmehr was arrested in Iran. APA reports that Azerbaijani journalist who was arrested by employees of Iranian Ministry of Information, Security and Intelligence Agency (ETTELAAT) was detained in the Tehran’s Evin prison. Tabriz revolution court ordered his arrest. It is unknown why journalist is accused.
Peyman Pakmehr worked in the “Shems Tabriz†newspaper which was banned by the Iranian government. He published news about Azerbaijan on the website. Pakhmer graduated the English school of Tabriz University. He is the member of the World Journalists Federation and Iranian Journalists Organization.
