89 mass media organizations in the Press Council’s “black listâ€

He said that the Press Council fought against “racket publications†in 2 directions in 2011. The first was the announcement of “racket publications†and the second was the intensification of public reproach. Press Council’s Governing Board announced the “racket publications†four times during the year with the presentation of the Council’s Commission for Complaints and Struggle Commission against “racket journalismâ€. There were 89 mass media organziations in the “black list†according to the outcomes of 2011. The “black list†was published in the mass media which have an influence on public opinion.
Amashov noted that the letters were sent to the newspapers and broadcasting companies for the intensification of public reproach against “racket publicationsâ€. “These letters said that those publications were included in the “black list†because of their actions against the ethic rules of journalism and neglecting public opinions and decsions on them. It was recommended to consider these facts in establishing the cooperation with mass mediaâ€.
