89 mass media organizations in the Press Councilâ€™s â€œblack listâ€

He said that the Press Council fought against â€œracket publicationsâ€ in 2 directions in 2011. The first was the announcement of â€œracket publicationsâ€ and the second was the intensification of public reproach. Press Councilâ€™s Governing Board announced the â€œracket publicationsâ€ four times during the year with the presentation of the Councilâ€™s Commission for Complaints and Struggle Commission against â€œracket journalismâ€. There were 89 mass media organziations in the â€œblack listâ€ according to the outcomes of 2011. The â€œblack listâ€ was published in the mass media which have an influence on public opinion.

Amashov noted that the letters were sent to the newspapers and broadcasting companies for the intensification of public reproach against â€œracket publicationsâ€. â€œThese letters said that those publications were included in the â€œblack listâ€ because of their actions against the ethic rules of journalism and neglecting public opinions and decsions on them. It was recommended to consider these facts in establishing the cooperation with mass mediaâ€.
