Director General of APA Group Vusala Mahirgizi delivers lecture in Winter School for Journalists -<font color=red>PHOTO</font>

APA reports that chief of department of the journalism faculty of Baku State University Jahangir Mammadli delivered a lecture on the theme â€œPrinciples of reporting in journalism: accuracy, impartiality, conscientiousness, fairnessâ€. Jahangir Mammadli said while reporting a journalist should not forget citizenship position.
â€œSome theorists may not accept my view. Earlier, I used to criticize the persons thinking this way. But now I consider that when a journalist does not forget citizenship position, he or she is unbiased and honest,â€ he said.

Director General of APA Group Vusala Mahirgizi delivered a lecture on the theme â€œThe proficiency of journalists in new media environmentâ€. Vusala Mahirgizi spoke about the tasks of the new media, privileges of Internet, underlined that the information taken from the social network must not be used in media.
â€œInternet has anything you want â€“ you read, see and hear. At the same time you can be an active user. You have the advantage to take an active part in the processes. It is not right to use in a serious media outlet the news shared on Facebook or Twitter. The principles of impartiality, objectivity and accuracy must be preserved,â€ she said.

Vusala Mahirgizi said every news article must contain the position of the opposite side.
â€œAny user of social network adds his or her views to the comments. In normal conditions a journalist should not write this. If there is no exact reference, it is useless to write it. Media should increase its proficiency,â€ she said.

Vusala Mahirgizi said our new journalists must know how to write, film and even post a news item.
â€œTurkish journalists already work in this manner,â€ she said.

Teacher of the journalism faculty Zaur Babayev and participants of the trainings shared their views, the discussions were continued.
