First meeting of the National Committees of International Press Institute finished â€“ <font color=red>PHOTOSESSION</font>

Baku-APA. The 1st meeting of the chairmen of the National Committees of the International Press Institute (IPI) on topic â€œDevelopment platforms of the National Committeesâ€, which is held in Baku, has been finished today. Information Department of IPIâ€™s Azerbaijan National Committee told APA that Institute Director Alison Mckenzie, representative of the organizationâ€™s secretariat Christine Clint, heads of National Committees Karl-Eugene Eberle (Germany), Pavol Mudri (Slovenia), Ravi Narasimhan (India), So-Vihan Hyon (North Korea), Rahim Adedoyin (Nigeria), Ferai Tinc (Turkey), and Modris Audins (Latvia) attended the meeting.

Head of IPI Azerbaijan National Committee Umud Rahimoglu chaired todayâ€™s meeting. The heads of the National Committees discussed development of IPI Regional Cooperation strategy. It was decided to Regional Initiative Center in Baku which will cover CIS member countries.

Then the National Committee heads Baku Declaration. Baku Declaration was adopted after the discussions.

Members of IPI Azerbaijan National Committee Vusala Mahirgizi, Ramiz Asgar, Azer Hasrat, and chairman of Public Union â€œFor the sake of Human Rightsâ€ Eynulla Fatullayev met with the guests. They discussed the situation of the They discussed the situation of the Azerbaijani media.

McKenzie, Clint and National Committee heads also visited Azerbaijani Press Council.
