Baku. Kamala Guliyeva – APA. The National TV and Radio Broadcasting Council signed a deal with some TV channels on allocation of AZN 300 000 for production of national TV films and series, chairman of the Council Nushiravan Mahharamli told APA. He said they have already reached agreements with Khazar TV, ATV, Space TV and Public television. The deals with other TV channels will be signed in the next few days.

Maharramli said the Council would prepare documents related to the financial issues this week and after that the Ministry of Finance would deliver these resources to the channels. “Some TV channels have already begun this work with their own resources. First four series will be examined together with the creative group and then will be assessed”.

The Council’s chairman said it was preliminary resources. This process will enter more active process in December. He said the remaining part of the resources in amount of AZN 5 million allocated by the President for production of national TV films and series will be transferred to the accounts of TV channels step by step. “These resources were allocated for 2011. Some part of the fund may be used next year. But the resources are expected to be increased next year too. After that the Council could decide on broadcasting of foreign movies on the TV channels”.

Maharramli said the decision on allocation of resources to the regional TV channels for film production has not been made yet because the regional channels had very weak technical basis.
