Nushiravan Maharramli: â€œThe broadcast rights fee paid by private TV channels for showing the on-budget films must be decreasedâ€

Baku. Kamala Guliyeva â€“ APA. The evaluation of feature films shot in Azerbaijan during soviet period and independence years must be reconsidered. The fact of rare airing of these movies worry usâ€, Chairman of the National TV and Radio Council (NTRC) Nushiravan Maharramli told APA.

NTRC Chairman said that they addressed the Ministry of Culture and Tourism with a letter on this issue: â€œWe can not accept that AZN 60-70 must be paid for every hour to the on-budget films. It is very high price. The price put on these films must be spent for maintenance and renewal of these films, AZN 10-20 is enough for it. Some TV companies complain that that they can show national film only in holidays. We bring this issue to agenda once again in order the evaluation to be real and the channels to show these more often. These films are considered the state property. But at that time â€œAzerbaijanfilmâ€ cinema studio bought its property right after shooting these films. But the property right must be in the Ministry of Culture and Tourismâ€.
