We will adopt a decision on it in November. As it is a technical issue, the Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies are engaged in this workâ€, Chairman of the National TV and Radio Council Nushirevan Maharramli told journalists, APA reports. Council Chairman said that 85% of Azerbaijani territory will be provided with the digital broadcasting in the next few days.

Maharramli said that there were certain concerns on the issue: â€œThe concern is on the situation of population. The admission of this broadcasting must be in all houses for transition to the digital broadcasting. Thatâ€™s why we addressed Azerbaijani President for rendering of assistance to disadvantaged population. I consider that the assistance must be rendered to 500-600 thousand disadvantaged population. If it happens, we will completely transform to the digital broadcasting at short notice. I think that it will be possible to completely transform to the digital broadcasting in 2012â€.

Maharramli said that 12 channels would be broadcasted in one frequency after transition to the digital broadcasting. Besides, the population will use many interactive services.
