License term of four television and radio companies extended in Azerbaijan - <font color=red>UPDATED </font>

APA reports that the Council considered the extension of the license term of radio broadcasting of Lider TV and Radio Azerbaijan LLC, radio broadcasting of Azad Azerbaijan Television and Radio Company on 106 Mhz and 106.3 Mhz frequencies, regional television broadcasting of Turkel TV LLC. Guided by article 22.3 of the law on â€œTelevision and radio broadcastingâ€ the National Television and Radio Council passed a decision to extend the term of their license for six years.

Earlier, the National Television and Radio Council passed a decision to extend the license term of Neptun firm, AG Telekom LLC, Faraon-1 LLC, Azerbaijan Television and Radio Programs CJSC, BURC FM LTD LLC, Kepez Independent Television and Radio Company, DIGICOm LLC, Antenn Indepndent Television and Radio Company, Dunya Independent Television Company and Mingachevir Television for six years. As SKY LLC did not apply for extension of the license term for cable network, the Council did not extend the term of license.

By the end of the year the Council will consider the issue on extension of two other television and radio companies.
