The number of Tehran-Baku flights will be increased to two flights per week starting from next week, said Mohammad Mir Rezaie, director of the “Baku Star” company and official representative of Iran Air on the Baku route, in a statement to APA’s Tehran bureau.
Mir Rezaie said that following the reopening of Imam Khomeini International Airport, a third flight on the Tehran-Baku route is planned to be operated on Thursday. According to him, starting from next week, the number of Tehran-Baku flights will be twice a week.
He noted that the flights will operate on Mondays and Fridays on the Tehran-Baku route.
The company director also pointed out that there is currently potential to increase the number of flights to up to six per week, adding that this issue will be evaluated in the future depending on conditions.
Mir Rezaie also announced that Baku-Mashhad flights will be launched. According to him, based on the planning, this flight will operate from Baku to Mashhad.
