The largest railway bridge built over the Kura River in Azerbaijan in the last half century has been commissioned, APA's Mil-Mughan bureau reports.
The bridge built in the part of the River Kura passing through the territory of Shirvan city connects the Alat-Horadiz-Aghband railway.
The bridge built on the Alat-Osmanli line of the Alat-Horadiz-Aghband railway has already allowed the movement of trains. The construction of the bridge became urgent after the 44-day Patriotic War. The bridge, which is a part of the transport and road infrastructure, which is a major contribution to the development of the economy of Karabakh and the border regions, which was freed from occupation, was built at a level that meets international standards.
The construction of the bridge was started in June last year. The length of the bridge is 270.58 meters, the width is 5.7 meters.
