The Ahmadbayli–Fuzuli–Shusha highway, built to expand transport connectivity in the territories liberated from occupation, will operate as a toll road, the Tariff Council told APA.
Toll rates for the road were approved at the Council's meeting held on June 1. The fee for passenger cars and freight vehicles weighing up to 3.5 tons has been set at 8.6 qepiks per kilometer, or AZN 6.99 for the entire route.
For motorcycles, the toll has been set at 4.65 qepiks per kilometer on the Ahmadbayli–Fuzuli–Shusha highway and 5 qepiks per kilometer on the M-1 Baku–Guba–Russian border highway.
It was noted that the Ahmadbayli–Fuzuli–Shusha highway is 19.7 kilometers shorter than the existing route and, thanks to a higher speed limit, enables drivers to save both time and fuel.
The Tariff Council's decisions will enter into force on June 2, 2026.
