A while ago, a number of posters on the sale of kidney had appeared at the exit of Gara Garayev subway station. The related information circulating on mass media outlets and social networks raised some public concern, the press service of the Ministry of Interior Affairs told APA.
A series of operations conducted by employees of the Department on Combating Human Trafficking under the Ministry of Interior Affairs resulted in the detention of Baku residents M.I., 1997, and E.E., 1995, who tried to stick those posters by presenting cell phone numbers that belong to others.
During the investigation, the detainees said they had no intention of selling their kidneys, claiming it was no more than a joke just to see public reaction in this regard.
They expressed sincere repentance about their deeds and asked for apology for their actions.
