The Public Relations Department of the Ministry of National Security told APA that seven officials of the ministry have been prosecuted as accused persons under the Articles #308.2, 309.1 and 302.2 of the Criminal Code.
“Recently, a number of periodical press and e-media outlets have intensively disseminated unverified, untrue and hearsay information. According to that information, high-ranking officials of the Ministry of National Security were allegedly “arrested”, and engaged in the activities not related to their service. It should be noted that dissemination of such false information of defamation and outrage nature is unacceptable. The Ministry of National Security is resolutely continuing its activity to reliably ensure the stability and safety in the country, and all orders and instructions of President of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev are carried out promptly and honestly”, said the statement.
