The State Water Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Told APA that the accident occurred on August 8 in the evening, at about 19:00 in the Kechili village of Shamkir region.
Kechili village resident, 31 year old Mayilzade Khayala Sahib gizi, her children - 13-year-old Rafieva Nurlan Goshgar gizi, 9-year-old Rafiev Nurlan Goshgar oglu, as well as 4-year-old Natik Dostiev Akbar oglu and 7-year-old Farida Dostieva Natik gizi drowned while swimming in the Kura River.
According to information, four children went into the water and strong wave drowned them. Khayala Mayilzade while trying to save them, downed herself. The State Water Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations dragged the bodies out of the water and transferred to the destination.
