Baku. Hafiz Heydarov – APA. Some Georgian football funs attempted to commit provocation in Neftchi-Chikhura match within the 3rd qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League on July 31.
According to press service of the Interior Ministry, they hung a map from the tribune of Bakcell Arena stadium showing Zakatala and Gakh regions as Georgian territory.
However, the local funs protested it and this caused confrontation. Police and officers of Internal Troops prevented the incident before becoming riot.
It’s supposed that this provocation is an act of powers who wants to break kind neighborhood ties between Azerbaijan and Georgia.
Law-enforcement agencies of both countries are investigating the fact.
