An armed incident has occurred in Yevlakh, APA reports.
During the incident, 39-year-old Zaur Samadov injured a 46-year-old acquaintance in the leg on hooliganism-related grounds using a legally registered hunting rifle. Z. Samadov was detained by police officers.
A criminal case has been opened by the Yevlakh District Police Department, and an investigation is underway.
It is reported that Zaur Samadov is the son of former Yevlakh executive authority head Goja Samadov.
Recall that former Yevlakh executive head Goca Samadov was arrested by the State Security Service in 2019. Accused of official crimes, the former official was conditionally released from the remaining part of his sentence in July 2023 due to health reasons. He passed away in December of the same year.
