Prosecutor General: Investigation of criminal case of Garabagh separatists completed, case will be sent to court soon

The criminal cases against the separatist leaders of the so-called organization created after the occupation of the Garabagh region and other sovereign territories of Azerbaijan as a result of the military aggression of Armenia will be sent to the court in the near future, Kamran Aliyev, the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan, who is on a visit to Russia to participate in the Eastern Economic Forum, said this in an interview to News.ru, APA reports.

The Prosecutor General said that the investigation into the criminal case of the separatists has been completed, and the criminal case materials will soon be sent to the court for viewing.

Note that Azerbaijan's law enforcement agencies have arrested and brought to Baku the former "presidents" of the Armenian separatists in Garabagh, Arkadi Ghukasyan, Bako Sahakyan, and Arayik Harutyunyan, as well as the former "foreign minister" David Babayan, the former "parliament speaker" David Ishkhanyan, generals Levon Mnatsakanyan and David Manukyan, and the former "state minister" Ruben Vardanyan.

It should be noted that a total of 15 members of the separatist regime were brought to justice in the criminal case, which was conducted by a joint investigation team consisting of the General Prosecutor's Office and the State Security Service. In different years, the General Prosecutor's Office opened a criminal case against those persons and issued an international search. After last year's anti-terrorist measures, the law enforcement agencies of Azerbaijan have arrested and brought to Baku the former "presidents" of the Armenian separatists in Garabagh, Arkadi Ghukasyan, Bako Sahakyan, and Arayik Harutyunyan, as well as the former "foreign minister" David Babayan, the former "parliament speaker" David Ishkhanyan, generals Levon Mnatsakanyan and David Manukyan, and the former "state minister" Ruben Vardanyan.

The separatists are accused of crimes against peace and humanity, war crimes, terrorism, financing terrorism, murder, creating an illegal armed association, etc.
