Five members of a family have been poisoned by carbon monoxide in Azerbaijan's Yevlakh, APA reports.

As a result of the incident, Mahammad Ismayilov, born in 1959, has died.

The other four people — Panahi Ismayilov (born in 1987), Ismayil Ismayilzada (born in 2005), Gulnaz Ismayilzada (born in 2007), and Mahir Ismayilov (born in 1982) — have been hospitalized.

An investigation has been launched into the incident.

According to information provided to APA by the Yevlakh District Central Hospital, at around 06:10 on January 22, four individuals (three men and one woman) were hospitalized in the Emergency Medical Department of the Yevlakh District Central Hospital.

They were diagnosed with carbon monoxide poisoning.

The condition of the patients born in 2005 and 1987 was assessed as satisfactory, and they were discharged home for outpatient treatment. The patients born in 1982 and 2007 were admitted to the Intensive Care Unit, and their condition is currently assessed as serious.
