A mine incident occurred in the Mirashelli village of Aghdam region on September 23, APA reports citing the Press Services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Prosecutor General's Office and the Mine Action Agency's (ANAMA) jointly released statement.
The statement stated that Ahmadov Sayyaf Figan, a resident of Baharli village, born in 1971, died as a result of a landmine explosion in the area of a cemetery that had not been cleared of mines.
An investigation is underway in the Aghdam region prosecutor's office regarding the fact: "ANAMA, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Prosecutor General's Office once again call on citizens to follow safety rules, pay attention to mine danger signs and not enter unfamiliar areas."

A reserve warrant officer was killed in a landmine explosion in Azerbaijan’s Aghdam district, APA's local bureau reports.
The blast occurred in the Shikhlar village area, claiming the life of Sayyaf Ahmadov, who was widely known by the nickname “Gizir Khani.”
