Reliable protection of the state border and measures to combat the illegal circulation of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and their precursors are being successfully continued, APA reports, citing a joint statement issued by the State Border Service and the State Customs Committee.
According to the information, an attempt to violate the state border from the Islamic Republic of Iran towards the Republic of Azerbaijan was prevented in the service area of the “Horadiz” border detachment of the State Border Service’s Border Troops.
As a result of joint border search and operational measures conducted by the State Border Service and the State Customs Committee, a total of 15 kilograms 200 grams of marijuana narcotic drug and 1,490 metadon M-40 tablets containing narcotics were detected and seized from the service area.
Operational-investigative measures on the case are ongoing.
