Last year, 1,079 combat weapons were discovered in the liberated territories, APA reports.
This was stated at a collegium meeting held at the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
It was noted that a total of 5,199 firearms were seized, including 1,079 combat weapons from the liberated territories, 2,183 shells, and more than 220,000 cartridges. 502 facts related to illegal possession and carrying of firearms were identified, and 153 people were arrested for these crimes.
