Journalist Tatyana Chaladze among the passengers told APA that the plane landed in Turkmenistan at night and the 108 passengers onboard, including 20 children were not allowed to get off. After two hours the passengers were taken to a lounge. The aircraft captain announced that they owe $4,800 to the airport for service and fuel. Aliyev brothers from Kharkov paid half of the debt and the rest of money was collected from other passengers.
A representative from the aircraft owner Aerosvit repaid the money to passengers in Baku.
Azerbaijan Airlines (AzAL) told APA-Economics that the forced landing was not caused by any technical-mechanical failure but thick foggy weather in Heydar Aliyev International Airport of Baku.
