Emergencies Ministry warns people against endangering their lives while on beaches

The Service has equipped its 43 rescue stations and 21 posts with needed facilities. Rescue trams could save 196 people; 179 in state-owned beaches, 13 private and 4 in non-beach areas since the beginning of this year.
Citizens do not care about warning boards in most cases which lead to tragic ending.
People’s dream for resting in the places without rescue stations, post and rescuers cost their lives sometimes. They should care about their safety when coming to rest in the rivers, lakes, ponds and all coastal strip of the Caspian Sea it is not always possible to set rescue stations and posts there.
The Ministry is also deeply concerned about drunk swimming. Furthermore, breakaway children on the beaches lead to tragic results. The Ministry also warns against swimming in windy weather. Such cases lead to drowning of several Baku residents on July 15.
The Emergencies Ministry urges people not to endanger their lives, avoid swimming in bad weather, prefer well-equipped beaches and obey rescuers’ demands. /APA/
