Newspaper prices to rise

He said in case newspaper prices rise, their edition will reduce and this will aggravate the situation of the press.
â€œI do not support this, because the newspapers are expensive in Azerbaijan. Newspaper prices in Azerbaijan are much more expensive than in Turkey,â€? he said.
APA has learned the position of some newspapers.
Azad Ahmadov, director general of Azadliq newspaper did not rule out the price rise for their paper.
â€œWe will discuss the problem and make a decision tomorrow,â€? he said.
Editor-in-chief of Sharg newspaper Akif Ashirly said that editors-in-chief should hold an assembly and make a unique decision.
â€œThe prices for newspapers should rise,â€? he said. Reshad Mejid, editor-in-chief of 525 newspaper said he is against of increase of paper prices.
Aydin Guliyev editor-in-chief of Baku xeber newspaper said that newspaper prices should double in this situation.
Eynulla Fatullayev, editor-in-chief of Gundelik Azerbaijan newspaper said if the prices increase they will also raise prices for their newspaper.
â€œI am for the rise for paper prices,â€? he said.
Azer Aykhan editor of Yeni Musavat newspaper said that the assembly of editors-in-chief is expected in tomorrow.
â€œIf the price for the papers rise, all the newspapers should do this,â€? he said.
Azer Aykhan said he is for the rise for paper prices.
Algish Hasanoglu, editor-in-chief of Yeni Azerbaijan newspaper told the APA that the rise of prices of their paper is not expected in the nearest future.
