Republican Military Prosecutor’s Office makes statement on death at Zardab Region Police Office

Press service of the Office told APA that some media published improper information on Huseynov Arzu Yusifâ€™s death at preliminary detention jail facility, where he was kept: â€œSuch information was rejected by the General Prosecutorâ€™s Office, because they did not reflect the reality. The resident of Kurdamir region Arzu Huseynov, who was sentenced by Kurdamir Regionâ€™s Court under the Criminal Codeâ€™s article # 180 (robbery), was delivered to Zardab Region Police Office, where he was kept at preliminary detention jail facility. On August 21, at about 21.30, Huseynov wanted drugs from police officers as he felt bad and then after some minutes he died.

The corpse immediately was sent to the Medical Court Forensic-Enquiry and Pathologic Anatomy Union of Ujar region in order to identify the death reasons.

The Department of Medical Court Forensic-Enquiry and Pathologic Anatomy Union of Ujar region told APAâ€™s local bureau, according to the preliminary investigation, it was identified that the detained died because of heart attack. The distinct death reasons of A.Huseynov will be known when the forensic-inquiry will announce its last decision.

At present time, investigation is being continued at Zardab region prosecutorâ€™s office.
