APA reports that judicial examination was scheduled on September 3.
On February 17, Natig Humbatov, 23, killed Elmira Ismayilova, 74, because of robbery. During preliminary interrogation, he confessed that he had taken gasoline when entered the apartment. After killing the woman in the kitchen, the killer decided to burn the apartment and the body to cover up the crime. Humbatov wanted to take AZN 25,000 but the flames quickly spread to the apartment. Humbatov left the apartment without taking money.
The killed woman is mother of head of the UN Food Program Representative Office Fuad Huseynov.
