Specialty selection to university vacancies and specialized secondary schools finishes in Azerbaijan - <font color=red>UPDATED</font>

Baku. Kamala Guliyeva – APA. Specialty selection to the vacant places of universities and specialized secondary schools has finished in Azerbaijan. Spokesman for the State Students Admission Commission (SSAC) Elnur Naghizadeh told APA that 12 522 students applied to contest the vacancies, 11 413 applied for Azerbaijani sector, 1109 – Russian.

There were 1924 vacancies in the universities this year. Admission was fully carried out in the second specialty group. There were 799 vacancies in the 1st specialty group, 510 in the 3rd specialty group and 615 in the 4th specialty group.

31995 applicants entered 33918 planning places of the university allocated current year. Admission plan was fulfilled 94%.

8727 planning places were allocated in 54 specialized secondary schools in current year. 7174 planning places were allocated for the Azerbaijani sector, 36 planning places for the Russian sector. The joint contest will be held for the applicants of the Azerbaijani and Russian sectors to 1517 planning places.
