British Intelligence Agency: Khamenei ordered to commit terrorist acts in Azerbaijan within the Eurovision-2012 song contest
23 August 2012 08:56 (UTC +04:00)
APA reports quoting Vesti.az that Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei ordered the special units of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (Quds Force) to commit terrorist acts in Azerbaijan within the Eurovision-2012 song contest.
The terrorist acts aimed to frighten West and its supporters. The Quds Force has recently been implicated in a series of terror attacks against Western targets. Last year U.S. officials implicated the organization in a failed assassination attempt against the Saudi Arabian ambassador to Washington. It was also implicated in three bomb attacks against Israeli diplomats in February, planning to attack the Eurovision song contest in Azerbaijan while two Iranians were arrested in Kenya last month for possessing explosives.

The local press has repeatedly written that the Iranian intelligence planned to commit terrorist acts in Baku within the Eurovision song contest.
Besides it, the Ministry of National Security of Azerbaijan issued a statement about the neutralization of several persons associated with the Iranian intelligence services. All these show that the versions of the British Intelligence Agency are not baseless.
Iranian hackers attacked the several websites of the state structures of Azerbaijan in January this year.
Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is of Azerbaijan origin.
