Woman, vacationing in Lerik, has fallen into 150-m valley and died

Fatal incident took place in Azerbaijanâ€™s Lerik region, Lerik region prosecutorâ€™s Office told APAâ€™s South bureau that the incident was recorded on August 9 at about 22.30 on 22nd km of Lankaran-Lerik highway â€“ near one of the resorts. Baku city resident 24-year-old Gunay Mirzagha Babayeva, who was returning from resort, suddenly felt bad herself and asked the driver to stop the car. Her foot slipped and she rolled down the 150-m valley. Seeing this, another passenger in the car â€“ 25-year-old Seid Tofig Aliyev fell into the valley in order to rescue her. Apparently, his attempt was unsuccessful, and after him, Lankaran residents 26-year-old Javid Adalat Isayev and 23-year-old Zaur Meslehet Guluzade also followed him. Rescuers of Southern Regional Emergency Center of the Emergency Ministry were called to the site. With their help, body of Gunay Babayeva and other three were taken and handed over to related bodies. Lerik region Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the fact.
