Smuggling of 1299 cigarette patterns to Azerbaijanâ€™s capital prevented by customs officials

According to information, Nakhchivan-Baku flight has been taken under control by officials. While Azerbaijani citizens Ahmad Ismayilov entrained large cardboard boxes of tea to his QAZ-3302 truck and wanted to leave the airport, he was detained by the officials. During the inspection, 10 large black boxes laminated with polyethylene were taken from â€˜tea boxesâ€™. Black boxes 951 patterns (9510 boxes) Marlboro Gold Edge, 246 patterns (2460 boxes) Parlament Aqua Blue, 86 patterns (960 boxes) Kent Nanotek Neo and 16 patterns (160 boxes) Kent Nanotek Infina, in total 1299 cigarette patterns, as well as 83 pressed empty cigarette boxes were reveled and taken during the inspection.

Ismayilov said during investigation that someone named Gabil, whom he knew formerly, phoned him and tasked to meet the cigarette cargo sent from Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic by Nakhchivan-Baku flight and hand over it to Baku city. According to his words, Gabil obtained cigarettes at a market located on Hasan Aliyev street of Baku city. Ismayilov noted that he worked for Gabil twice, so far.
